Bozoma Saint John’s NBC show lasted about as long as her Netflix job. Which lasted about as long as her Endeavor job. Which lasted about as long as her Uber job.

Bozoma Saint John’s NBC show lasted about as long as her Netflix job. Which lasted about as long as her Endeavor job. Which lasted about as long as her Uber job.

For those keeping score at home:

Uber: 1 year. Endeavor: 2 years. Netflix: 17 months. On Brand with Jimmy Fallon: 1 season.

The woman has built an entire brand around being a branding genius and she cannot stay anywhere long enough to leave fingerprints.

The best part is that Andy Cohen clocked this exact pattern at the RHOBH reunion and gave her a skeptical look when her resume came up. She responded by posting a video calling him out and explaining that CMO tenures are just short by nature. Which, sure. Sometimes. But not EVERY job, at EVERY company, on a loop for a decade.

On Brand brought her in as the serious industry expert who would mentor contestants on building campaigns for major brands. The show was canceled before anyone had to ask what she’s actually built.

She has a Harvard Business School case study about her career titled “Leading with Authenticity and Urgency.” The urgency, apparently, is always to leave.

I’m not a Kyle stan. But I think the Kyle hate flattens a genuinely complicated person and ignores just how brutal the last few years have actually been for her.

Let me be upfront about something. Kyle Richards is not perfect. She has a fifteen season track record of sometimes doing real harm in the pursuit of authenticity. The LVP situation. The years of complicated dynamics with Kim. The Kathy fallout. Her commitment to being real on this show has cost people she cared about something real, and I don’t think that gets a pass just because her intentions were good. If you want to criticize Kyle there is material there and it is legitimate.

But I think the Kyle hate on the other sub has calcified into something that no longer has much to do with who she actually is. And I think if you step back and look at the full arc of her life over the last couple of years specifically, the picture that emerges is of someone carrying an almost unreasonable amount simultaneously while still showing up, still filming, still trying to be present for people around her, and getting very little credit for any of it.

Here is what has actually happened to Kyle Richards since roughly 2022.

Her childhood best friend Lorene Shea, someone she had known since second grade, who was in her will and named as guardian of her children, died by suicide in May 2022.

Kyle has talked about this publicly and what comes through is not performed grief. It is someone genuinely gutted by a loss that came without warning from a person who seemed completely together. She wrote publicly afterward about the failure of the mental health system to get Lorene the help she needed. She became a NAMI ambassador alongside Sutton, who lost her own father to suicide, and has done real work around suicide prevention since. This is not a storyline. This is someone trying to make meaning out of something that doesn’t have any. She has a real connection with Sutton off camera.

Kyle has publicly said that Lorene’s death is what made her realize she needed to make changes in her own life. That her marriage, which had been the thing that made her feel safe and grounded, wasn’t what she thought it was. And that losing Lorene while also losing that sense of security at the same time was genuinely destabilizing in a way she had never experienced before. So she got sober. She started working out seriously. She went to therapy. She separated from Mauricio after over two decades of marriage. All of this happened mostly off camera and then got filmed and scrutinized and picked apart by castmates and fans who decided her lifestyle changes were suspicious or performative rather than someone doing the basic work of trying to stay upright during a very hard period.

Then the Morgan Wade situation. Whatever actually happened there, and we don’t fully know because Morgan has explicitly asked not to be discussed on the show and Kyle has respected that, Kyle fell in love with someone whose life is fundamentally incompatible with being a Real Housewife. Morgan is a private person who does not want her relationship or her sexuality discussed on reality television. Kyle honoring that boundary is the right thing to do and it has cost her the ability to be fully open on a show where openness is literally her brand. That’s a quiet ongoing loss that doesn’t get acknowledged because it mostly looks like avoidance rather than grief. People accuse Kyle of being evasive, but really she’s just trying to navigate boundaries that keep Morgan’s personal life personal while still remain remaining on a reality TV show.

Meanwhile all four of her kids have launched their own lives. One just got married. The nest is empty. Mauricio has his own life completely separate from hers and has been seen publicly with other people. The marriage is functionally over even if the paperwork isn’t final. Kyle went from a full house and a long marriage to an empty house and a separation in a very compressed period of time, while also grieving her best friend and navigating a relationship she couldn’t talk about publicly.

And through all of this she has continued to show up. For her kids. For the show. For fundraisers and charity events. For Erika, who has been through her own catastrophic arc and found in Kyle someone who understood what it felt like to have your life fall apart publicly. She and Erika also have a connection off screen. Erika confided per domestic balance situation and her private boyfriend to Kyle before it ever came out on the show.

She tried to be there for Dorit, imperfectly and in the wrong ways sometimes, but she was trying. I think the PK situation is complicated. PK hung out at Mau and Kyle’s house without Dorit. She knows PK better. She was clearly trying to help Dorit. But I don’t think she wanted to truly alienate PK because it might alienate Mau during their separation, which has been so good. There was clearly a time when Kyle thought they might be back together and she didn’t want to pick Dorit’s side if it pushed Mau away. Damage was done. Her fence riding seemed disloyal. Maybe it was. But it wasn’t simple. He was trying to navigate her relationship with her estranged husband who was friends with PK while PK was divorcing Dorit. It’s not black and white.

The Kyle hate relies on a specific assumption that because she has money, beautiful kids who turned out well, a famous family, and throws great parties, she can’t really be struggling. That external success and internal pain are mutually exclusive. They are not. The last two years of Kyle Richards’ life are evidence of that. You can be wealthy and grieving. You can be well connected and lonely. You can be a good mother and be lost. You can be the person everyone comes to for support and be quietly falling apart yourself.

She is not perfect. But over fifteen seasons she has been a genuine friend to a lot of people, defended people when it cost her something, and shown up in ways that don’t always make good television precisely because they are real. The arc of her life right now is genuinely sympathetic if you’re willing to look at it honestly rather than through the lens of a narrative that decided she was the villain and worked backward from there.

That’s not a stan take. That’s just paying attention to Kyle as a human being. She certainly doesn’t need me defending her, but the other sub villainizes her to the point of dehumanizing her and it actually makes my heart hurt for Kyle.

Dorit filed for divorce thinking she had all the leverage. The forensic accounting suggests she may have handed it all to PK.

I’ve been going down a rabbit hole on the Kemsley divorce filings and I want to share what I found because I think the actual legal and financial picture is almost the exact opposite of what’s been playing out on screen.

Bear with me because this takes a minute to lay out but I promise it’s worth it.

First, the ten year thing

There’s a widespread belief in the fandom that Dorit strategically waited until the ten year mark of their marriage to file for divorce. The logic being that California treats marriages of ten years or more as “long duration,” which gives the court ongoing jurisdiction over spousal support with no preset end date. The implication being that she timed the filing to maximize her financial position.

That part is probably true. She likely did wait deliberately. California Family Code Section 4336 means that in a marriage over ten years a judge can retain jurisdiction over spousal support indefinitely rather than setting a fixed end date. That’s real leverage and she probably knew it.

But here’s where it gets interesting.

California is a community property state

Everything earned during the marriage belongs equally to both spouses. Her Bravo income, her management company income, all of it. Half of it was legally his too. An attorney who analyzed the filing publicly noted that her RHOBH salary is considered community property and that PK could potentially claim a share of it.

So when she filed thinking she had the upper hand on spousal support, his team went and did the forensic accounting. And what they found was not what she needed them to find.

What the court documents actually show

The forensic accounting covering roughly two years is now in the public record and the numbers are striking. She had $3,559,095 in available funds during the covered period. He had $3,446,650. She actually had more money available than he did, and unlike him she had zero loans. Nearly a quarter of his available funds came from borrowing.
Here’s how they each spent it.

He spent 55% of his available funds on family expenses. That means the mortgages (both of them) the household staff payroll, health insurance, the kids’ school fees, utilities, car lease, car insurance. All of it coming out of his pocket while also taking out loans to cover the gaps.
She spent just 9.52% of her available funds on family expenses and 74.78% on herself. So much for caring about her kids having a roof over their head. That’s just talk.

The retail shopping breakdown for a fourteen month window is itemized in the filing. $69,000 at Louis Vuitton. $69,000 at Chanel. $38,000 at Hermes. $22,000 at Saint Honore. Net-A-Porter. Moda Operandi. Nearly a million dollars in designer goods during a period when the mortgage was going completely unpaid.

And she made zero mortgage payments on a house she had exclusive use of. Zero. She made one utility payment.

The Bravo contract detail that kills her defense

She claimed on camera, when PK’s attorney raised concerns about the spending, that he didn’t understand her professional obligations and that the wardrobe expenditures were necessary for her career.

His team subpoenaed her Bravo contracts and reviewed them. The declaration states flatly that her contracts contain no requirement that she purchase, maintain, or be reimbursed for wardrobe, clothing, hair, makeup, styling, beauty services, or related expenses. They looked at the actual paperwork. The “it’s a business expense” argument is gone. Amanda’s choices have proven her claim untrue. Amanda has claimed to have recycled fashions and looks over the season. Dorit could too. Erika downsized.

The $50,000 demand

There’s a declaration in the filings from PK’s attorney describing a phone call where Dorit allegedly demanded $50,000 immediately and another $50,000 the following week. She allegedly said that payment would prevent her from playing “dirty games” that could cause reputational harm to PK. She specifically referenced his girlfriend Tatiana and suggested reputational allegations could damage that relationship. When the attorney expressed concern about ongoing demands she allegedly responded “PK knows me.” This is the legal definition of extortion. Dorit has committed another crime.

Read that in the context of the forensic accounting and it makes complete sense. She could see what those numbers were going to show once they landed in front of a judge. Getting money informally before the documents went public was her best play. Once the forensic accounting was in evidence her leverage evaporated.

The house

She has been refusing to vacate, refusing to sign mortgage restructuring documents, refusing to agree to a sale timeline. The house has two mortgages in default. The first mortgage has $5,196,750 outstanding plus $445,919 in arrears and penalties. The second mortgage, a $750,000 loan at 13.99% interest that matured in September 2025 and has never been paid off, now totals $895,965 to pay off entirely.

Staying in the house and refusing to cooperate on a sale isn’t emotional. It’s strategic. The house is the largest community asset. The moment it sells a judge divides the proceeds and her share gets reduced by whatever dissipation claims PK successfully argues. Keeping the asset in limbo while running up the arrears delays that reckoning.

The dissipation claim is the real weapon

In California when one spouse wastes or misappropriates community assets during the marriage the other spouse can be reimbursed from the dissipating spouse’s share of the settlement. What PK’s team has built is a forensic record showing nearly $2.8 million in personal spending by Dorit over 26 months, representing almost 80% of her available funds, while she contributed less than 10% toward the family and paid nothing toward a house in her name that was sliding into foreclosure.

Every dollar she spent at Chanel while the mortgage went unpaid is a dollar he can potentially argue should come back to him from her share of the settlement.

So who actually has the leverage

She filed thinking the ten year marriage gave her the upper hand on spousal support. And technically the court does retain indefinite jurisdiction in a long duration marriage. But spousal support flows to the spouse who needs it and can’t fully support themselves. PK has documented income of over three million dollars across his UK and global management operations. He’s not going to successfully argue he can’t pay his own bills.

What he can argue, and what the documents support, is that she dissipated community assets on a massive scale, that she refused to cooperate on saving or selling the primary community asset, that she made extortionate financial demands on his attorney, and that the forensic accounting tells a completely different story than the one she told on television.

The spousal support angle is almost certainly a bargaining chip rather than a genuine long term goal. What he actually wants is a clean financial separation that doesn’t leave him subsidizing her lifestyle indefinitely, which means getting the house sold, the dissipation claim on record, and a settlement that reflects the actual numbers rather than the show’s narrative.

She walked into what she thought was the best positioned divorce filing of her life. And then his team produced two years of bank statements, that show she made more money than him.

The show’s version of this story is a financially naive woman victimized by a reckless husband who kept her in the dark. The court documents tell a story of a woman who had more income than her husband, took out zero loans, spent nearly three million dollars on herself over two years, paid nothing toward the family home, and then demanded a hundred thousand dollars in cash to keep quiet about it.

Those are not the same story. Dorit it’s gonna walk away from this with almost nothing. The house will be gone. PK can show that she was spending community property assets during the divorce so he gets a bigger portion of the remaining cash. She won’t get any spousal support. Sutton’s house on the main road won’t look so bad then.

Controversial take: the Kyle/Dorit/Erika situation is genuinely sad

Okay so I’ve been turning this over in my head for a while and I want to throw out a different read because I think the standard fandom takes are missing something real.

Let’s start with the thing that reframed everything for me.

Crystal revealed on her Humble Brag podcast that right before her final reunion she ran into Kyle and mentioned the Mexico couples trip, assuming they were close. And Kyle said to her, completely casually, “Crystal, I literally have never had a one on one lunch with Dorit before in seven years.” Not that they didn’t hang out much. Never had lunch. Alone. In seven years. And Kyle confirmed it herself on Amazon Live around the same time, saying they’d only taken one couples trip together that she could recall in the entire time they’d been cast together.

The show presented these two as best friends for nearly a decade. And the reality is they had never once sat down to lunch together without cameras or a group around them.

But I don’t think that makes their friendship fake exactly. I think it makes it something more specific and more interesting. Kyle is genuinely social, she has deep longstanding friendships, she shows up for people, she builds relationships through real consistent time. Dorit, by her own behavior and by multiple accounts from people who filmed with her, is just not wired that way. Crystal also mentioned on her podcast that Dorit smoked constantly on set and production wouldn’t let anyone talk about it, and that’s actually why they were always waiting for her. Even in the environment specifically designed for her to connect with these women she was off doing her own thing on her own timeline.

So what Kyle and Dorit actually had was something real but structurally dependent on something external to them, which was PK and Mauricio. That was always the actual friendship at the center of this whole universe. Two charming social guys who genuinely liked each other and happened to be married to women who got cast on the same show. PK said it himself during the separations, that he and Mauricio were close “anyway” and that it wasn’t about them both going through the same thing at the same time. The wives’ closeness was downstream of that bond. And when both marriages started falling apart simultaneously, the women’s relationship didn’t have enough independent foundation to carry the weight.

Which is why the Kyle texting PK situation always felt overblown to me as a betrayal accusation. Kyle knew PK independently. He was Mauricio’s friend first and she had her own relationship with him that had nothing to do with Dorit. She wasn’t going to torch that because Dorit’s marriage ended. The memes explanation was a little evasive but the underlying position was actually reasonable. She just couldn’t say it plainly on camera without it becoming the whole season. She was supposed to be Dorit’s friend, but she actually is closer and more familiar with PK. Through Mauricio.

Now here’s where it gets genuinely sad for me. Erika is different. Dorit flew out for her Broadway show. Both of them (Kyle and Dorit) went to Vegas for the residency with no cameras, no obligation, just showing up for their friend during her comeback after the worst period of her life. That seems real. That’s not a filming friendship. That’s actual care about each other and supporting each other.

So when Erika says at the reunion “I want the Dorit back that I know and I love, but she’s not here right now,” that landed completely differently for me than anything Kyle said. That’s not someone ending a professional alliance. That’s someone who genuinely misses a person they care about and can’t get through to them. And her comment that maybe PK wasn’t wrong about Dorit, which everyone clocked as a betrayal, I read as someone who has been privately accumulating things that don’t add up and finally had an honest moment in a confessional. That’s not turning on your friend. That’s cognitive dissonance reaching a breaking point. Dorit has changed. She’s not the person that any of them knew. It’s different for different people but the through line is the same.

Dorit accusing Erika of coming after her to save her spot on the show is honestly the most telling thing she said all season. Not because it’s true but because it’s such a specific accusation. Dorit understands that move intimately because she’s been making it for nine seasons. When you see your own survival tactics in everyone around you that should tell you something. Dorit sees what she wants to see based off of her own motivations and insecurities. It’s why she desperately broadcast this wealthy life that she doesn’t actually have.

I think what happened this season is that Dorit came in carrying way too much. The divorce, the financial chaos starting to bleed publicly, the book she needed to write, all of it. The Ponzi scheme that she and PK had concocted was collapsing and the pressure cracked her open in ways that made her genuinely hard to be around. The women who had the most real history with her tried to get through and couldn’t. Not because they didn’t care. Because she wasn’t in a place to let anyone in. Erika should’ve been the most logical shoulder to lean on. She’s been through this. Instead, she turned her back on Erika and latched on to Boz.

The friendship that survived all of this completely intact is PK and Mauricio. They’re still close, still leaning on each other and reportedly still hanging out. Because that was always the actual bond everything else was orbiting around, we just didn’t know it.

The wives’ friendship was real enough to hurt when it broke. The husbands’ friendship didn’t need a show to hold it together. It’s all kind of sad. 😢

Got banned from the main sub for saying Dorit was a co-conspirator on the robbery. Also: the $1 million shopping spree while the house is in foreclosure.

So I got banned from r/RHOBH yesterday. Not for harassment, not for breaking any actual rule. I made a comment saying Dorit was likely a co-conspirator on the 2021 home robbery, got 37 upvotes, and then a mod appeared with an actual fairy tale about “a land of truth” and banned me anyway.

Meanwhile “Vyle” is perfectly fine over there. Just so we’re all clear on the moderation standards.

I’ve been doing a deep dive on the Kemsley financial situation and I want to lay out what we actually know, what’s documented public record, and why I stand by what I said. Because it dropped this week that the divorce filings are even wilder than we thought, and it ties everything together.

The documented financial picture

This isn’t fan theory. It’s public record.

PK filed for bankruptcy in the UK in 2012 with debts estimated at up to $50 million. He met Dorit shortly after and they were on RHOBH by 2016 presenting as wealthy. An attorney involved in their divorce stated publicly that PK already had two court judgments totaling nearly $3.7 million against him when Dorit first appeared on the show, and alleged that information was suppressed because production didn’t want to spoil the illusion.

The Bellagio lawsuit over a $3 million gambling debt ran from 2013 to 2019, meaning it was unresolved during the early seasons while they were playing rich on television. Two separate business partners sued over unpaid money connected to Beverly Beach. Public records showed over $1.3 million in combined unpaid federal and state tax liens.

The Encino mansion was purchased through unconventional lenders, the kind you use when banks won’t touch you, went into foreclosure, got pulled out temporarily, and is now being sold to escape the debt.
The assets were in Dorit’s name and held in an LLC. Which is exactly what you do when you’re trying to stay ahead of judgments against your husband.

The robbery

Here’s what made me say what I said.

Three armed men. Alarm turned off by Dorit. No vehicle captured on camera. Robbers described as calm, unhurried, and unbothered. They brought guns but no bags, so they used the family’s own bedding to carry things out. They agreed to leave Dorit’s phone at the gate when she asked. PK was conveniently out of the country. The claimed loss was $1 million, at a moment when they had $1.3 million in tax liens, multiple lawsuits, and a gambling debt still in play.

No arrests were ever made. Nobody was ever charged.
Garcelle noticed she kept wearing big jewelry throughout the rest of the season after claiming it was all stolen. And brought it up on camera. Which took actual nerve.

The Marshall’s incident the following Christmas, where she supposedly left $10,000 cash unattended in a shopping cart at a discount store, was also attributed to three men following her. Same number as the home invasion crew.

Make of that what you will.

The $1 million shopping spree while the house was in foreclosure

This dropped this week and it’s the part that makes everything else click into place.

Court documents filed in the divorce show that between December 2024 and March 2026, Dorit spent $995,270 on wardrobe and luxury goods. That’s approximately 80% of her available funds during that period. The breakdown is specific: $69,000 at Louis Vuitton, $69,000 at Chanel, $38,000 at Hermes, $22,000 at Saint Honore, plus Net-A-Porter and Moda Operandi.

During that same period, she made zero mortgage payments on a house she had exclusive use of since April 2024. Zero. She made one utility payment.

So while she was on camera buying a Kelly bag and framing it as proof of her independence and financial recovery, while she was telling castmates she was “riddled with anxiety” about money and had no idea what was going on with the finances, while she was positioning herself as a woman learning to stand on her own for the first time: she was spending nearly a million dollars on luxury goods and not paying the mortgage.

And she’s claiming she had no idea about the finances.
Here’s the problem with that. Dorit has known enough about the finances for years to construct detailed public defenses of PK’s financial history on camera. She knew about the bankruptcy. She knew about the Bellagio lawsuit. She knew the assets were in her name and why. She knew the house was in an LLC. You don’t get to deploy that knowledge strategically for a decade and then claim you were completely in the dark. Imagine Boz thinking Amanda was using information strategically regarding a death of a child but giving Dorit a total pass on this. It’s lazy or cruel.

The pattern

Every chapter of the Kemsley story follows the same structure. Use the appearance of legitimacy and success to access resources. Use those resources to reinforce the appearance. Repeat until it collapses and you need a new vehicle.

The show was the vehicle. Beverly Beach was the vehicle. The robbery was the reset. The book is the new vehicle. And while the book is being sold as the story of a woman finally unburdened, the court documents tell a different story: someone who spent nearly a million dollars on designer goods in 14 months, paid nothing toward a house in foreclosure, and is now positioning a memoir as evidence of her independence and resilience.

Getting banned from the main sub for pointing this out, in a community where “Vyle” is perfectly acceptable but “Poorit” earns you a fairy tale from a mod and an immediate ban, is its own kind of data point.

Glad to be here with the rest of the defectors.
