Reminder to recheck your holes after digging a target
Delaware - tried a new area I’ve been eyeballing for a bit. After a few promising hits and further into the woods away from the road trash, I hit a great high tone and dug a 1944 Washington Quarter. Took my pictures and started to refill but swung over it again, got another high tone much deeper, almost straight down. Out pops a 300 year old shoe buckle, my second ever colonial shoe buckle. A great instance of “what are the odds?”
Second favorite dig of the day was a 102nd Armored Cavalry pin.
I’m gonna be hunting this place out for a while since it appears it’s never been detected. Here’s hoping to save and learn more history about my area.
