Got my goal SUPERIOR SCORE!
I just took the PTE yesterday in Las Vegas (needed for nurse license endorsement from new york to nevada)
And got the email this morning!! I am soo happy!
I just wanna share some tips to anyone who needs it since this subreddit helped alot with insights while I was preparing.
I’m currently a SAHM and i only had time to review while my baby is sleeping. Technically I only had 1-4 hours of review for 4 days total.
I was actually scheduled for apr 8 , i did 2 mock tests on APEUNI, with 68-72 predicted score, i felt ready but wasnt aiming for superior. On exam day, i was there already at testing center - but was refused to take the exam because i didn’t write down my MIDDLE NAME! I didn’t get a refund nor reschedule.
I guess that fueled me to get a better score because I was so annoyed 😠
So I rescheduled on the 16th to take on 22. And again, just light reviewing and this time i took 1 mock test with ALFA PTE. I got the 10 day premium and used it for 2 days.
I focused on where I was weak, summarize written text, summarize group discussion and also repeatedly practiced my speaking “fluency” and by fluency - apparently the AI is looking for fast, no pause talking! I took mental notes from playing how the other test takers did it on the community scores!
I did exactly how I practiced and was so happy with my result!! 😍 nevada nursing only required 55 average score but i guess this was more a self challenge.
