I bought three so called 'heat shield' leg protectors off Amazon to diminish the oven cooking my leg while in traffic...none was worth a shit or were very uncomfortable. So I tried made my own...total success!

Here are the two items I bought:

1. 2-pack knee brace
2. Fiberglass heat shielding

I cut two pieces of the heat shield - one for above the knee and one for below. Using a hot glue gun (the adhesive did not stick to the knee sleeves) I glued the shields to the knee sleeve. Put in freezer for ten minutes. Be sure to not glue to the edges - it needs some free play to bend with ur leg as you stop and go.

Works perfectly and can not tell it is even on me (I wear it under my riding pants).

Total investment $18 for two.

When it rains and I get caught I always get condensation and/or spots of foggyness inside the display on the glass (or whatever it is)...is this normal?

Rode the 800 cafe racer today and I could not get into Neutral. AND shifting through gears at a stop were very rough and clunky. Once it warmed up for about a half hour I was able to get into N fro first, but never second.

Any ideas?
