Stone troll, the costume is finished

The total weight of the suit is about 12 kg. The owner is bigger than me, so it will be better on him. The view through the mesh fabric is wide enough. I was able to open the mesh fabric on my own when the suit was on me, this will allow me to drink water without opening the "belly door".

I finished making a body sculpture. I had to carve a lot of small stones. For convenience, I sealed the incision in the front, but the front part (chest and abdomen) will open like a door so that the operator can comfortably put on the straps and fasten the fastexes. Everything is ready for the next stage.

The customer wants to use these legs for two costumes: the troll from The Witcher and the troll from the Lord of the Rings. So I did something in between. These legs are made of foamed polyethylene, covered with fabric, the texture is made with acrylic sealant and liquid waterproofing.

I covered it with a cloth for durability, added texture using acrylic sealant and waterproofing compound. The hands are ready to be painted. They are light enough, soft and elastic. The texture is rough but elastic, so it is absolutely safe for LARP fights.

I finished the shape of the hands. The undoubted advantages of this material are: it is very easy to cut with a stationery knife and the layers can be fused together using a heat gun (no glue required).

Now I'm making a custom-made costume, I want to show you step by step how it happens. These photos show how I created the basis of the costume so that it fits well on the wearer. Next, I will add the mass and shapes so that it matches my plan. The main material that was used is foamed polyethylene. There is also a "second spine" structure made of polypropylene pipes inside.
