Why didn't Zoldycks kill Chrollo?
I'm a professional photographer, one time i was hired to shoot a concert, then after the shoot, the boss of the company i freelanced for died. still, i deliver my photos and they pay me.
my job is to shoot the concert, not to guarantee the boss's life. so i honor the contract, and they paid me.
the zoldycks should have a lawyer to write the contract that state "if the client dies during the job, it still doesn't negate the contract. they should still pay the fee, we're killers not bodyguards, your safety isn't our concern"
and if the ten dons organizations refuse to pay, well they could sue them.. or worse..
ten dons arent just 10 people, they have families, accountants, lawyers. surely someone still left behind to pay the bills.
also having chrollo died despite the 10 dons died, would still benefits the mafias. as revenge, a show of power, or safety precautions. so I'm sure the 10 dons organizations would gladly pay the bill.
so yea, i still don't get why zeno and silva don't just finish the job and collect the paycheck. especially since zeno pride himself of being a professional
except if the contract explicitly said "if we died, you aint getting a dime". hell, if I'm a billionaire professional assasin, i wouldn't take the job with that stipulation.

Edit: kids these days don't understand how contract and signing works, especially for a very expensive service with very dangerous people 😂
