How to Fix Your Mindset ... (+75k in 4 weeks)
What's up guys, my name is Nate. I was posting here a few months ago and just wanted to take the time to update y'all about my trading and how it's been going.
So February-March was an insane run for me, nearly 80k in payouts across all firms. Now, most people would just keep trying to apply pressure and keep going for more, but I actually took a step back and for the past 2 months I've been averaging around 10-12k in payouts with around 2-3k in spend.
This is significantly less than what I was making--- and yes I know my potential and I am very confident in my edge and my ability to make money in the markets, but after the first week of March I noticed that the setups weren't so clear... so I sized down and kept my prop firm spend low.
Just giving y'all advice that I give to the students in my group. Think of your P/L in terms of weekly / monthly / yearly performance. Stop going for huge days every day. If you make a shit ton of money the first day of the month--- it is completely within your right to just stop trading and come back the next month. You should not always be trying to apply pressure, especially when the market is choppy, ranging, or extremely unclear.
I made a shit ton of money in 1 month. Literally a yearly salary. Why would I jeopardize that money and performance for some hypothetical Lamborghini to flex on social media? Instead I can just keep racking in smaller months and live extremely comfortably. I'm still in college. No car, no watch, just living life. There is no need to live outside of your means.
I'm always trying to help others, if you want help you can always dm me and I'll help you with psychology/strategy or any questions you have.
