Over the past year, I have been struggling with persistent hair roughness, excessive shedding, and lack of smoothness despite investing in premium haircare products and following a regular haircare routine. I have tried multiple high-end products, including the Kérastase Discipline range, Nutritive range, and products from Gisou, expecting visible improvement in hair texture, hydration, and overall hair health. However, despite consistent use, I have not noticed any significant difference in the condition of my hair.

My primary concern is that my hair continues to feel rough, dry, and frizzy instead of soft and smooth. The texture often appears unhealthy, especially after washing, and my hair lacks shine, softness, and manageability. Along with roughness, I am also experiencing noticeable hair shedding during washing, brushing, and throughout the day. This continuous shedding has become stressful and concerning because it persists despite maintaining what I believed to be a proper haircare routine.

Currently, I double shampoo during every wash because I thought it would help deeply cleanse my scalp and remove buildup effectively. In addition, I perform an oil massage once a week to nourish both my scalp and hair. However, even with these efforts, the results remain disappointing. My hair still tangles easily, feels coarse to the touch, and becomes difficult to style. The ends appear dry and damaged, while the scalp sometimes feels overly cleansed or stripped after washing. This makes me wonder whether my current routine is too harsh for my hair type or whether I am missing the correct balance of moisture and nourishment.

Another major challenge is identifying the actual cause of the shedding and roughness. Possible reasons could include over-cleansing, unsuitable products, hard water, scalp imbalance, stress, nutritional deficiencies, or accumulated hair damage. Since even expensive and well-known products have not improved my condition, I now feel confused about which ingredients, formulations, or practices are genuinely suitable for my hair needs. I am also uncertain whether my hair requires more hydration, gentler cleansing, scalp-focused care, or changes in styling and washing habits.

I am looking for professional guidance and effective product recommendations that can genuinely improve hair smoothness, reduce frizz, minimize shedding, and restore healthier-looking hair. I would also like advice on whether double shampooing at every wash could be contributing to dryness and roughness. My goal is to build a routine that supports both scalp health and hair texture, rather than providing only temporary results. Ultimately, I want to achieve smoother, healthier, shinier, and more manageable hair with a routine that is suitable for my specific hair concerns and delivers long-term improvement.
