Im a guitarist for about 4 years ,i normally play djent,deathcore metalcore and mordern metal and i would put myself in the average catogory since i can play infant annihilator and periphery,BUT,i was wondering do you need your pinky for sweep picking or can you sweep pick with 3 fingers only,reason being because i have large hands ive never bothered to use my picky because i could always just use my ring finger with no hastle,but its came at the cost being my picky is really weak and slowwer compared to my other fingers.
