In the 2000s there were so many die hard BlackBerry mobile fans who would “never” give up their physical keyboards and move towards iPhone style smartphones.

I think there are quite a lot of parallels with ICE vs EV and my worry is that some manufacturers (like Japanese manufacturers) have seen the writing on the wall too late.
