All my Tavs and Durges so far ☺️💕
Two bards, a sorcerer and a warlock. I like charisma based characters!

Very late to this. I'm on my fourth playthrough and I've finally let my Durge sleep with the Emperor. I always chickened out before. But since in this run I don't have Lae'zel with me, and I'll be ignoring the 'free Orpheus' quest line and just siding with the Emperor, I though it made sense to try it.
I was pleasantly surprised. Aside from the manipulation aspect of the Emperor and that fact that, yes, it was a little weird, the scene was well done. (It's not everyday you get to sleep with a squid guy). And the Astral Plane location was really beautiful.
Still, I'm not sure what impact it has on the story, the endgame and the aftermath. I'm guessing not much.
I am also tempted to go back and reload because even though it's just a game, I hate the idea of having cheated on my romanced companion!
What are your thoughts? Do you love it or hate it?
For me it's misty step and invisibility. I always make sure that everyone in the party can do these, either through spell casting, equipment that gives you those spells, or scrolls and potions. They've helped me sail through lots of areas.
I also like glyph of warding and wall of fire for taking out multiple enemies at once.
Globe of invulnerability is great for endgame when you're party is waiting to get through the final portal to the brain. Otherwise, I've never used it.
And of course, healing spells are important. In difficult areas Astarion is often the last one standing, so I always give him the Amulet of Restoration so he can cast healing word and mass healing on everyone.
For my main character I always go for a high charisma class. I've done two playthroughs as a bard, one as a sorcerer and currently I'm doing a warlock run. I don't fancy playing as a paladin because of the religious aspect, though it does look great for a deeper role playing experience.
For me the bard was so fun and versatile. You get some great spells and can be a weapons master, too. I'm having a similar experience as a warlock, and in terms of lore and character background, I prefer it.
The sorcerer was cool story-wise but not my favourite for spells and skills.
Yeah, for me it's a toss up between bard and warlock.
The room at the Elfsong is cosier, but I just love the dock side camp for the moonlight on the water. It's soooo romantic ☺️❤️
It's a question I keep asking myself.
In five playthroughs, whatever character I play--male, female, Tav or Durge--I always romance Astarion. Can't imagine romancing anyone else. He's so amazing in every act; and whether he ascends or remains a spawn, I find him totally adorable. He's also got to be one of the most talkative of the companions. In game, he comments on everything and has a lot cut scene dialogues too, especially if you're playing as Durge. But those things are all related to the events of the game.
So, afterwards, what kind of conversations do you think you'd have with Astarion? What are his likes and dislikes? His interests? We never get to ask him about them in game. I suppose that after 200 years with zero autonomy and after all the trauma he's been through, he might not know the answer himself and might need time to rediscover himself.
But anyway, I'd love to hear your thoughts or headcannons...
Thanks 🤗❤️
