Hi everyone, I’ve been following the news about Camp Mystic and the discussions around whether it might close and it made me wonder about the broader situation. I myself have worked at a camp close to Mystic for several summers.

For parents and counselors from other Hill Country camps (not Mystic), how are you all doing? What’s the general feeling about this summer? Are people planning to return or is there uncertainty? I feel like people are barely questioning wether these camps should be reopening even though they too would have had many losses if it werent for lucky situations (eg Camp HOH being on break).

I’d really appreciate hearing your perspectives. Are you guys continuing to support the camps and to send your kids?

I'm European but in Texas most summers and I love it. The most beautiful place on earth and I miss it so much
