2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport
Hello! Has anybody experienced shaking over 40 mph when braking? It’s driving me insane!!! I don’t believe it’s my brake pads or rotors. My mechanic looked at those and said they looked perfectly fine. But I want to go get another inspection.
In the mean time, has any one experienced this? If so what was it if it got fixed?
Long story SUPER short…
I traded in my 2019 VW Tiguan for a 2021 VW atlas cross sport in November 2025. I am trying to love the car but it has given me nothing but problems! Electrical, highway shaking, trunk not closing properly etc. I’ve taken it to get serviced & they can barely tell me what’s wrong & I’m done!
In the same 5 months my apartment building I live in got sold so rent will be raising (I’m not sure by how much) and I would rather just prepare for that + wanting to pay off my student loans ($33k).
I owe $33k on the car but car max is offering me $20k and I’ll pay the d difference & my thought process is I find a used 2015 car with 60-80k miles (I live in Chicago so I don’t put more than 6k miles on my car a year) something that’ll last at least another 100,000 miles.
And no longer have a car payment which was $614 & put that towards my student loans instead.
