I think that Star Ocean: The Second Story original and Second Evolution are still worth playing.
Despite we have the remake, I think that SO 2 original and Second Evolution is still a fun game to play.
Maybe the gameplay is not too polished, but there are things that you simply ignore if you just play the remake, like the beautiful pre-rendered backgrounds and the CGI cutscenes.
