They have may have been forgotten mostly as years pass, but that doesn't mean they're still dangerous...
THE MAN OF YOUR DREAMS [Freddy Krueger] - The Springwood Slasher himself. Despite having a few scary stories surrounding him, he was now considered a joke and a local punching bag to teenagers whenever they sleep, but upon having an encounter with the Dark Ones on bringing his reign of terror back, he immediately accepted as long as people were afraid of him and left a legacy across the world. Fused with the original copy of the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis, he can now summon Deadites and demons at will as well as casting dark spells to those unfortunate enough to meet him.
- Of course, he then realized that out of all the other children of the parents that lynched him, there was one that got away. Daniel Day. Day's grandparents were among those that were part of the mob that took vigilante justice against the Springwood Slasher, but eventually moved out of Springwood to somewhere more safer for their children and buried the whole thing out of fear that Krueger could come back after hearing about the murders of Springwood in the 1980s. Day would eventually encounter the slasher himself, but rather than killing him like he planned to do, he decided to possess Day to rack up a new body count and force him to watch as he murders the rest of the other castmates.
THE CRYSTAL LAKE SLASHER [Jason Voorhees] - Undead slasher. As the murders of Camp Crystal Lake began to increase, the camp would eventually cease its operations with Jason himself going into hiding. Over the years, he became more skilled and intelligent as the camp itself was now his hunting grounds and anyone who dares to try to trespass will be killed. One day however, he'd disappear as the camp itself was left to rot and would later be replaced by another camp with an expanded lodge.
- In actuality, Jason was abducted by the Dark Ones to become one of their living weapons of destruction against humanity, however after refusing to comply to them, they would brainwash him to become one of the many that joined up with the Dark Ones. Of course, somewhere in his mind he is still fighting his way out, but for now? He remains an unwilling servant to the Dark Ones and resides on a floor themed to, what else, Camp Crystal Lake. He is also armed with a variety of weapons too as while he wields a machete, he also has a Bow and Arrow, a pitchfork, a chainsaw, and much more, so better be careful on that!
THE SAVAGE BUTCHER [Leatherface] - Not actually the original person behind the mask, but rather someone carrying the title of Leatherface where it's been passed down by future children of the Sawyer Family following Bubba's death. His identity is that of Marcus Sawyer, a former best friend of Sean who broke up with him following a nasty argument with him. He is fiercly loyal to the Sawyer family and is willing to do whatever it takes to protect his family and their legacy as they continue to lay low
- Marcus struck a deal with the Dark Ones that the Sawyers and their business should be the only ones left unharmed in their takeover of Earth as a way to protect his family. He roams in his own floor themed to a messy kitchen as he arms himself up with a chainsaw to hack and slash anyone who come across him.
THE SHAPE [Michael Myers] - The Boogeyman of Haddonfield. Over the years, Myers has been the subject of countless legends and theories regarding on him, especially on why he kills. Was it because that something possessed inside him? An abusive childhood perhaps? Who knows as Myers himself remained a mystery to most people. However, as the years have gone by, the town of Haddonfield did their best to forget about the Bogyeman himself as they've begun to suppress any information related to Michael Myers and even banned the Halloween holiday itself as the town didn't want to celebrate the holiday following Michael Myers' killings on Halloween itself. Myers is still talked about of course, but is less frequent nowadays and is semi-forgotten nowadays. However, as they always say: "You can't kill the Boogeyman."
- Myers wasn't really forced to become a living weapon of destruction by the Dark Ones and seems to play along with them for now until their eventual downfall. Michael Myers roams around the set for the Halloween-themed episode as he stalks and kills those that're in his way. His appearance often changes and grows more powerful as people start to fear him more.
I think it might be alright to talk about a Day's End Crossover AU that crosses over with A Nightmare on Elm Street and other horror movie franchises.
Basically it mostly acts like a legacy sequel to the franchises that the AU features but FvJ and the sequel comics don't exist here. Freddy and the others are treated as nothing more than urban legends/campfire stories that people tell each other to scare themselves and are mostly forgotten to this day as they aren't active anymore.
However, one day before the reboot ended in 2011. Delilah was gifted the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis and began studying over it, slowly losing her sanity in the process while trying to incorporate it into her Ichor project, but after the show ended both her and Arthur mysteriously disappeared with no traces of them in sight, which also included Daniel Day for some reason...
It seemed that they'd be gone forever until the cast members received letters to come back to Gardenview for a special reunion and without any other choice, decide to go there, but upon arriving there, they soon began to find out what really happened to the creators AND Daniel. Can they survive Gardenview while being chased by various monsters and slashers or will they end up as victims to their body count?
