My first trip to Disneyland Paris (kind of mini review)
A family group of my wife, in-laws and my 6 year old daughter, we went for a Birthday celebration, not the 6 year old but a 40 year old :)
We drove from the Midlands (UK) to DLP, stopping one night in Arras on the way, which in itself is a lovely town to visit. I would happily drive again as the roads in France are so much more enjoyable than the UK.
We had 4 nights in DLP which gave us 4 1/2 days to enjoy the park, I'd say you can do it in much less time but we wanted to do it in a more leisurely manner.
The weather was so kind to us (it felt like we were in DisneyWorld) with temps getting up to 26 degrees.
The park was busy as it was French School holidays but if you plan your days well you can get on everything you could possibly want, between 18:00-22:30 queues dramatically decreased. We only paid fast track for the Frozen ride.
We experienced very little down time on rides, if something did go down it seemed to be up and running next time I looked at the in app times. The longest we queued for was about 35 minutes and that was for Crush's Coaster and Tower of terror. We did Remy's in magic hour and the queue was only 5 minutes, the rest of the big rides can be done with 5 to 15 minutes queues if you do them at the right time of day. My favourite underrated ride was Avengers Assemble, I went on it 3 times and the longest I waited was 10 minutes.
Dined at:
Walt's Restaurant, food 7.5/10, experience 9/10.
Bistrot Chez Remys, food 6/10, experience 8/10.
Royal Banquet, food 8/10, experience 9/10
Billy Bobs, food 6/10, experience 5/10
Overall everyone had a fantastic time from my daughter to the eldest in the group.
I can't wait to visit again sometime.
