I'm looking for advice on where to share my waitlist page. I'm new to the entrepreneurial world, so I don't have much experience in building and launching a product.

Context on this product in case it helps narrow down where to share it: The product is an app where users planning small events (Bachelor party, weekly yoga in the park, bake sale, etc) create groups with members by name and phone number. The user can then use the app to send SMS messages to their group members. Things like:

• "Hey are you coming to the surprise party on Wednesday?"
• "Do you need a yoga mat for this weekend?"
• "What are you baking for bake sale this Friday?"

And the app aggregates all the responses and gives the user a clean and efficient way to get info from the group. Group messaging without the headache of sifting through group conversations or messaging each member individually.

Reading similar posts about waitlist/pre-launch promotions, it sounds like I should be finding the communities where people who would use this product hang out, right? I could look into subreddits of any people who likely meet up to do the thing the subreddit is about (yoga, casual sports like disc golf, cottages, book clubs, etc) but is that a perfect way to get banned or downvoted into oblivion?

Do you find those specific communities for your pre launch landers? Would love to hear what any of you have done in the past
