Lads, I’m considering downsampling my hi-res music collection to 16-bit/44.1 kHz to save storage space

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but I’m considering downsampling my 24-bit/96–192 kHz files to CD quality to save storage space.

I travel a lot, so my audio setup is pretty limited...HD6XX, Truthear Hexa, AirPods Pro 2, Apple USB-C dongle, and an LG V30. Carrying around external drives is a hassle, and honestly I don’t think I can hear much of a difference between the higher-res files and CD quality.

Is there any realistic benefit to keeping the files as is for my use case, or should I go ahead with downsampling them?
