I bought some Bose Quietcomfort Ultra earphones back in December '24. And since then, I've been through 3 replacements, going for 4.

The issue is always the same: after a few weeks of usage, they develop a strong crackling sound in the left earbud. No evident causes. Tried everything: resetting, rebooting, repairing. Whatever. Nothing. Always the same.

4 out of 4 pairs had this issue for me, so it's evident it's an inherent design fault of the product. I use my earphones for your bog standard music listening on public transport or office meetings. I don't use them while I run as I know they're not waterproof.

I'm tired of this. Most likely going back to Sony.
