Sword Art Online - USER
I was thinking about Sword Art Online recently and I was discussing with my buddies of how people would actually fare if they were trapped there. We usually look at this from a pure gamer perspective, but what if we factor in our actual life experience, physical knowledge, and work experience.
For example, I am in the infantry. I feel like the physical conditioning, rucking with heavy gear, tactical planning and understanding squad tactics would translate pretty well to joining the assault team or at least surviving the lower floors. The discipline of always staying alert and analyzing most situations would definitely keep me alive in the short term.
- If you are an athlete, do you believe your stamina and muscle memory give you an edge in combat?
- If you are a mechanic or a tradesperson, would you immediately become a blacksmith or merchant?
- If you are just a regular person working a 9 to 5, how do your daily problem solving and communication skills keep you alive and navigate the world of Aincrad.
In the context of video games, I understand the leveling system and usually if you're numbers on your skills and weapons are higher you can usually defeat most players and NPCs. But what personal skills you do you have that you believe would give you an edge in different situations regarding fighting, negotiation, trade, hunting, etc.
