Display on a budget

I started collecting stamps a couple of months ago and my collection is growing steadily. My issue though is that I don't find satisfaction in my current "display". My stamps are organized in a stamp book by year, series or whatever I felt would fit well together. I don't have the money to buy or print stamp albums at the moment.

How do you guys that don't use stamp albums display your stamps? If it's in a stockbook, what do you add to it to make it look good? And if you use stamp albums, do you have any tips on making it cheaper while keeping the stamps safe?
