A short teaser trailer has dropped for Rogue Trooper, an animated sci‑fi film from Moon and Warcraft director Duncan Jones, based on the classic 2000 AD comic.

Animated entirely in Unreal Engine 5, Aneurin Barnard voices 19, a Genetic Infantryman and the lone survivor of a betrayed invasion force. He sets out to hunt the traitor, accompanied by the personalities of his fallen squadmates stored in his gear.

The cast includes Hayley Atwell, Jack Lowden, Daryl McCormack, Reece Shearsmith, Diane Morgan, Alice Lowe, Asa Butterfield and Sean Bean.

Jones adapted the comic created by Dave Gibbons and Gerry Finley‑Day, with production by Rebellion and Liberty Films. No release date has been announced yet.

20th Century Studios has released the first trailer for Ridley Scott’s The Dog Stars, starring Jacob Elordi as a widowed pilot surviving a post‑pandemic world with only his dog and a hardened gunman (Josh Brolin) for company. His isolated life changes when a mysterious radio signal sends him on a dangerous journey. Margaret Qualley and Guy Pearce co‑star, with Scott directing from Mark L. Smith’s script. The film opens August 28th.

Lucasfilm and Disney have released the final trailer for The Mandalorian & Grogu, originally planned as Season 4 before evolving into a full feature film. The story follows Din Djarin on a hunt for a Hutt as remnants of the Empire scheme in the shadows, with several familiar faces appearing along the way. Pedro Pascal returns alongside Sigourney Weaver, Jeremy Allen White and Jonny Coyne. Shot in California and featuring over 40 minutes of IMAX‑formatted footage, the film hits cinemas May 22nd.

Netflix has released the trailer for Ladies First, a comedy starring Sacha Baron Cohen as a powerful ad exec who wakes up in a parallel world ruled by women, forcing him into a rivalry with Rosamund Pike’s Alex Fox. The film also features Charles Dance, Emily Mortimer and Richard E. Grant, and is directed by Thea Sharrock. A remake of the 2018 French film I Am Not an Easy Man, it premieres May 22nd.

Amazon has released the full trailer for Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War. John Krasinski returns as Jack Ryan, following a suspicious trail of bank transfers that pulls him into a deadly chase across Europe and the Middle East, where a rising terrorist leader is plotting a major attack. Krasinski is joined by returning cast members Wendell Pierce, Michael Kelly and Betty Gabriel, along with newcomers Sienna Miller, Max Beesley and Douglas Hodge. Directed by Andrew Bernstein from a script by Aaron Rabin and Krasinski, the film was shot in Dubai and produced by Paramount, Skydance and Capcom. The film is released May 20th 2026.

Paramount and Legendary have released the full trailer for the new live‑action Street Fighter movie, set in 1993 and following estranged fighters Ryu and Ken as Chun‑Li pulls them into a dangerous new World Warrior Tournament hiding a larger conspiracy. The film features a huge cast including Cody Rhodes, Orville Peck, 50 Cent, Jason Momoa, Olivier Richters, Mel Jarnson, Roman Reigns, David Dastmalchian and more. Shot in Australia last year, it’s directed by Kitao Sakurai from a script co‑written with T.J. Fixman, with Legendary partnering with Capcom. Street Fighter hits cinemas October 16th.

A Non-Prequel Non-Reboot Sequel Part Two but with Reboot Elements Franchise Expansion Film!

Amazon MGM Studios and Mel Brooks have revealed that the long‑awaited Spaceballs sequel is titled Spaceballs: The New One. Rick Moranis, Bill Pullman, Daphne Zuniga, George Wyner and Brooks return nearly forty years after the original, with new cast members including Lewis Pullman, Keke Palmer, Josh Gad and Anthony Carrigan. Filmed in Sydney late last year, the production has kept plot details under wraps and is set for release on April 23rd, 2027. Josh Greenbaum directs from a script by Gad, Benji Samit and Dan Hernandez.
