Hi everybody.
I'm (28F) a student here in Leuven and I was walking to the bus station via Bogaardenstraat tonight when I saw a bunch of teens (not sure, maybe 20 at most) standing near a building. I tried to pass through them when suddenly one of the douchebags (longer blond hair, typical hoodie and sweats outfit) scared me by yelling very loudly at me and then proceeded to laugh at me. I believe he was also filming me on his phone.
I was already having a bad day and all I could muster was yelling "what the f*ck is wrong with you, you piece of sh*t" and continue on my way. I'm very shaken by the experience because I had a (false) sense of security in Leuven and didn't think people did this stuff to random women on the street.
I feel very humiliated and angry. I hate feeling this vulnerable but I don't think I can do anything about this as I do not remember his face other than a general silhouette. Do you have any advice on how I should react to this stuff in the future? Legally as well.
Thank you.
EDIT: The police emailed me back saying "next time call us so we can identify them". I assume this means they will not be doing anything lol.
