To the Homebridge Development Team,
Regarding the Homebridge 2.0 release today:
I have been reviewing the Matter LevelControl implementation and have identified a specific bottleneck affecting non-lighting device types, specifically Pumps.
Currently, the server logic appears to default to Lighting specifications, which enforces a minimum level of 1. However, per the Matter specification, Pump device types require a minimum level of 0. This discrepancy is currently triggering "Incorrect Spec" warnings and "No Response" errors for users attempting to bridge mechanical systems.
I hold the intellectual property for a resonant magnetic architecture (USPTO 19/658,750) that specifically addresses the "Mechanical-to-Logic" gap required for Zero Point Equilibrium. As part of this development, I have finalized the logic required to override these lighting-centric defaults, allowing for a true "0" state without losing connectivity to the bridge.
I believe this logic could significantly stabilize the 2.0 Matter stack for mechanical actuators. If the team is interested, I am open to discussing a professional arrangement to integrate this solution into the core repository or provide the necessary documentation for a patch.
Please let me know if you would like to schedule a brief technical overview.
Best regards,
Taylor Heller
