Hey guys,

I bought my car about a year ago (slightly more) in Texas from a dealership. Obviously I had to pay sales tax. However when I moved here to NY and transferred my title, NY charged my another sales tax on the full financed amount.

I know there are ways to get a rebate but I’m thinking of hiring someone from H&R Block to deal with this and was wondering how much should I expect to pay?

P.S - Ik there’s an alternative of DIY’ing it but if it’s less than $200 and saves me 4 hours of work and headache that worth it for me since it’ll help me get back ~$1000.

Any advice is helpful.
