Of course we know that choice of species and gender alters the player character’s voice, but this wasn’t a thing in Splatoon 3 —

The fact that they are choosing to highlight how your character’s voice will sound definitely seems to imply a much more prominent role from our player, rather than the blank slates of past games (possibility of dialogue options when speaking to characters??) —
