The mice gnawed through the silicone cover, so that’s been tossed now, as it’s not necessary. Learned the hard way on that, with whatever I shelled out for that thing.
Left a light layer of oil on after cleaning/scraping last fall, and then covered the surface completely with aluminum foil. That worked like a champ over the winter.
No rust, no mice turds (covered & blocked the grease hole completely, and the first cook for the “spring” (still 40 degrees here LOL) was great!
