Need Help With Coffee Machine
Context: We run a small online, delivery-based dessert shop that currently averages 5k+ in sales per day. Our best-seller is mango float, pero next up is the classic tiramisu. We use mascarpone cheese in both our mixtures. Current markup is a minimum 100%, pero it can go as high as 150% most of the time, depending on the source of the mangoes and presyo ni shoppee sa ingredients, and half of what we make is net profit na since we're a two-person operation with the occasional help.
One of our USPs is that we cater to pick-ups and deliver with minimal charge from 12 PM to 8 AM in the morning. Sometimes we'll eat over half of the cost of third-party delivery, or a suki tricycle driver, especially if we got the ingredients at a huge discount (pag 150% yung mark-up namin).
Problem: We've gotten the occasional requests from customers to have dine-in available, and requests to order the coffee we use for our tiramisu, kasi masarap daw, parang hindi instant coffee because it isn't. I dilute multiple freshly double-shot espressos from Paramount Coffee, a known local coffee shop that sells direct-to-farm coffee. It's brewed strong, so there's a kick to it. Oddly enough, a lot of people drink coffee while eating mango float.
What I'm thinking of doing next: I want to offer both, preferably start with delivery-only coffee, lalo na pag madaling araw kasi walang ibang nag ooffer dito sa subdivision namin and sa mga katabing subdivision. I was supposed to be enrolled in the Philippine Coffee and Barista Institute sa Davao nila na 3-day training, but I was told na no more classes daw muna because of the fuel crisis.
What I need help with: How much should I reasonably spend on a coffee machine + grinder combo to match the quality that a chain like Paramount Coffee can offer? My budget is around 50k, but I can spend more if there's a significant jump in quality. I'd prefer to stay below the 100k mark since this is technically a trial run.
