Hot take: Disney+ should add a true "short episode" filter (not just "because you watched")

I travel a lot for work and most of my Disney+ watching happens in tiny gaps: waiting to board, in the back of a rideshare, or with 12 minutes before a meeting. I know the obvious answer is to watch a movie in chunks, but I hate starting something when I know I cannot finish it.

What I want is for Disney+ to treat short viewing as a real way to use the app, not an accidental side effect of the Continue Watching row. Give us a proper filter you can apply anywhere: "Under 10 minutes," "Under 20 minutes," "Under 30 minutes." Not another recommendation shelf or a collection that goes stale. A filter that searches across series and specials and includes animated shorts, behind the scenes clips, and any episode that fits the runtime.

Right now the app is great at guessing what I will binge next, but not great at helping me pick something that matches the actual time I have. I end up doom-scrolling or defaulting to the same comfort stuff because I know the pacing.

Let me choose the session length first, like music apps let you make playlists by duration, and I think Disney+ would get more watch time out of people who watch in micro-sessions. Anyone else do this and feel like the app fights you on it?

I travel a lot for work, mostly short trips with a lot of airport time, and I'm trying to trim subscriptions I don't actually use.

With Disney+, I like having it ready on my phone for quick 10 to 20 minute sessions between flights or while waiting at the gate, but some weeks I barely touch it. Then other months I binge a couple of shows and it feels totally worth it.

For people with uneven viewing habits, what do you do in practice: 1) keep Disney+ year round for convenience, 2) rotate it in and out (one month on, one or two off), or 3) subscribe only around big releases and cancel right after? I'm not looking for account workarounds, just real habits that make life easier.

Do you ever regret canceling because you forgot a new episode was dropping or because you wanted something for a flight? And if you do rotate, do you use a simple rule of thumb so it does not become another annoying thing to manage while traveling?
