Hate the fact that we lost so badly but we kinda needed it

I know it sucks that this was the lowest total of this season and also the lowest total in SRH's history but there are positives here. I feel our team performance crumbling might warrant some changes in the next match if not playing xi hopefully intent wise. This loss wasn't because of our bowling which we considered weak from the start but it was our batting that was a let down but the only thing that matters now is

One batter must absorb pressure

Most likely:

Ishan Kishan OR

Nitish Kumar Reddy

need to play a stabilizer role.

After today’s horror loss:

We are still likely playoff qualifiers

But our Top 2 odds have almost been cut in half

GT are now our the biggest threat

RCB probably gained the most from this result indirectly

Despite the collapse:

Cummins looked sharp

Praful Hinge created pressure

Middle overs were controlled

That means:

The team structure itself is NOT broken

What we need to do:

Win all remaining matches

Improve NRR with big wins

Avoid another top-order collapse

Bat smarter in powerplay instead of all-out attack immediately

Best-case:

RCB lose 1–2 matches

Also important:

GT lose at least 1 match

Main thing to note is that if we win big in the remaining matches we still have a 50~60% chance of finishing top 2

and hope that today's loss doesn't psychologically affect us

This year might be a repeat of 2016 but are we RCB and GT is SRH

It feels eerily similar because RCB that season lost a few matches at the start but then got on a win streak that made them qualify comfortably, also RCB that year had the best batting lineup just like SRH this year and on the contrary SRH in 2016 got off to a mediocre start but had a late camping surge that made them qualify similar to what's happening to GT so far, GT also has arguably the best fast bowling line up this season.
