Making progress on the booth frame, and starting weight test with fabric and clamps

Got a lot of excellent feedback on my last post where I made half progress and bungled the number of connectors I was supposed to pickup for this.

Added a cross support for the base to stabilize it, and in the process of making another for the ceiling. I want to measure the walls next to all a little extra support just in case but they’re holding up well so far.

Grabbed some of the packing blankets and some of my clips to do a weight test and they’re holding strong, so now I will need to plan out the best placement, but I have more than enough fabric and clips to work with.

Taking a break to eat, but it feels surreal to almost have a real spot to record instead of a lousy closet with pillows,

I’ll be able to stand and breath and hopefully have a lot more dynamic expression

What was the point of those people? Why are they using straight up stick weapons rather than blasters that fit into Star Wars?

Can’t believe woke George Lucas was trying to randomly insert these guys into the third movie of the trilogy with no setup, kills them off immediately, and they never get explained again. Just trying to sell toys I guess while hating on us fans

Hopped back in for the first time this season, and I’ve still got it

I’ve heard people complaining about melee, is it really that broken right now? I tried the event and the hammer felt weird but otherwise idk. Just hits not registering, but I’ve got a lot of catch up to do since I was busy with Arc Raiders

Getting the PVC Frame for my first proper booth cut and assembled just to realize I miscounted and am short a few connectors 😅

Already sourced the fabric, it should arrive soon, but any suggestions on stuff I should get for my booth. I’ve seen some people add stuff like cup holders to hold water, so I was considering maybe a fabric covered shelf to hold my apples and water, but my main focus is the basics for now: 4 walls, a roof, and maybe a soft rug for dealing with sound from below. Sound travels in this old house

Maybe the real loot, was the raiders we met along the way

This is a first for me ngl, I thought this guy was gonna shoot so I had my finger ready on the trigger to blast him

So like the title implies, I want to know if there’s a way I can tell if my audio quality is “good” or not.

To preface this, I don’t have a proper booth, I operate in a little closet with a bunch of pillows and blankets, but am getting materials together to assemble my first PVC booth.

I got back into auditioning after a long hiatus this last week and have been having a blast, but I’m worried my weak setup might have some issues that I can’t tell by ear.

The technical side of everything always overwhelms me a little bit since I’m terrible with technology. I taught myself how to use audacity and have been running the bare minimum ever since on my audio technica (after throwing my yeti in the trash) but I’m worried that my sound quality might be lacking a professional tone that might be hurting my auditions in the long run.

Once I have my new booth assembled I want to do everything in my power to make sure that my audio sounds as clean and professional as possible, I don’t know if I’ll need different hardware, software, etc, but with an audition coming up that I’ve been really excited about I want to leave the best impression as possible.

Like the title, Marrok has just been aura farming all of Maul: Shadow Lord and it’s insane to see how much love he’s been getting since his debut in Ahsoka Season 1. The only other characters that come to mind was Boba Fett in season 2 of the Mandalorian, and then Clone Wars fixing Maul and Anakin, but just in general, the glow up has been insane to witness
