Tell me what doesn't work about my floor plan!
Some context:
- This is supposed to be a house for me and my wife. No children, no guests.
- We like small and cozy rooms. That's why each room on the ground floor is deliberately on the smaller side.
- The "TV room" has no windows to the outside. That's because I would like to have a room that is isolated like this - both against noise and light. I admit I have rarely been in such a room IRL, but with good lighting I imagine it to be quite nice. In any case, we never watch TV, so our "real" and most used living room would be the one on the 2nd floor.
- our dining area is very cramped. But the truth is that we mostly eat at our desks anyways. I also don't particularly like that it's next to the WC. But being just the two of us, it's totally fine. We don't mind.
- Currently, the entrance area is quite large. I was hoping that this provides some buffer for things we need that I have overlooked. There is a "water heater" there in the plan... stuff like that 😅
- The lounge area on the 2nd floor has two parts: one bar area with a shelf for wine/scotch/..., a fridge and a coffee machine, and a sort of "winter garden", where the chairs are placed. So the opening to the terrace is supposed to be a glass front, allowing us to enjoy some sun there even in the winter.
- the jacuzzi on the terrace is mostly a joke (unless ... ?)
- I don't know how well the pantry underneath the stairs would work out.
- the bathroom on the 2nd floor is not directly above anything on the first floor. But the kitchen wall should be thick enough to support plumbing.
thank you all in advance 💃
