Poland's only FIA Homoligated Track Has Been Closed
[UPDATE]: The decision has been overturned!
Tor Poznan, the only race track in Poland which hosts international racing events, has been shut down due to exceeding noise restrictions. For context, the track has been around since the 1970's, and residents who are complaining about noise only lived there since the 1990's. The noise restriction in question is 50 decibels, which is lower than most cars generate on public roads. This is an absurd decision, which both the real life and simracing communities need to stand up against this decision.
The track in question is also located right next to an international airport, which is now restricted from flights operating between 1am and 5am, hours in which Tor Poznan never operates in. Flights will continue to land and generate more than 50 decibels, while the race track will likely become a housing development, but only IF WE LET THEM!
