I'm looking to get into GPU hosting here on Vast.ai. I have a budget to scale up later (around €5k-€10k for a bigger rig), but I want to start small first to understand the platform, the verification process, and the actual networking/uptime requirements.
I'm thinking of throwing a single RTX 3060 (12GB) into a cheap refurbished workstation just to run a 30-day test. I know the profits will be tiny, but my main goal is to see if dealing with the setup, Linux, and maintaining the "Verified" status is actually viable before dropping serious money.
Has anyone here started with a micro-setup like this? Is there still any demand for 3060s? I'd love to hear your thoughts and any advice for a beginner! Also where can I see the current demands and prices?
