39F married to 41M. My husband and I finally got serious about retirement this year and I wanted to share our plan and current numbers. I feel good about it but I want to make sure I don't have any blind spots.

Current Snapshot:
• My 401(k): $82k balance | contributing $2,040/month (just started maxing out this month).
• My Roth IRA: just opened this month | contributing $625/month
• Husband’s 401(k): $220k balance | contributing $2,040/month + $550 company match
• Husband’s Roth IRA: just opened this month | contributing $625/month

The Plan:
We’re hoping to retire a little early in 21 years. The strategy is to live off our Roth IRA funds for the first 5 years, while letting both 401(k)s continue to compound untouched for another 5 years until we’re 65/67.

I know we are behind and I will forever kick myself for it but I'm excited about our new strategy and maxing out our contributions. Any thoughts on where we are at or any advice? TIA 🙏🏻

Hi everyone, I’ve recently started taking progesterone (started 04/15), testosterone (started 04/23), and thyroid medication (started 04/29). In the last 10 days, I’ve gained 5 pounds. This doesn’t sound like a lot but it is making me spiral and feel super uncomfortable in my body. Idk which medication is likely causing it and was wondering if anyone had any advice or thoughts on what could be causing the weight gain and if this is likely temporary?

I’m taking the CAMs exam May 29th. I’ve been very lightly studying for a month now. I have 12 years of experience working in financial crimes and AML. If I read through the guide a couple of times and really buckle down for the next 4 weeks is it possible to pass? I am also going to be studying on some long flights that I’ll be on in a few weeks. But I’ve been struggling with finding the time between my full time job and mom duties. Starting to really stress out.

Early retirement is very important to me. I’m currently 39 with only $80k in retirement but have a solid plan that will allow me to retire a little early. My current company (very small fintech) doesn’t do 401k matching although I do get ESOPs. I’m considering going back to my previous company that is a large brokerage firm solely due to the 401k matching at bonus payout (which I currently don’t have). I’m content in my current role, wfh, and fairly low stress. But I don’t have great job security. I’m conflicted on what I should do.

ETA: my current salary is $112k. If I switch jobs I would be making the same possibly more by $5-10k and with 6% match.
