Follow-up to my previous post asking about Darkest Dungeon 2

Said post: https://www.reddit.com/r/darkestdungeon/s/mt1LXf1MAU

After 2h i can say i had great time. Animations look awesome, game loop seems interasting and fun, gameplay is solid.
But i realised what was my main issue back on release and still is today. This doesn't really *feel* like darkest dungeon.
Because characters get reset every run, their deaths don't carry the same weight, and because of that the characters themselves don't matter as much.
There's no room for stories, like Cugley the Leper carrying dungeon after dungeon while becoming virtuous every resolve check, only to die due to overconfidence. No Aubrey the Grave Robber critting 10 times in a row and single handedly wining me a boss fight, making for herself permamnt spot in my memory.
If this game wasn't called darkest dunegon 2, but instead anything else i would probably love it. But with this expectation at the back of my head i can't really fully enjoy it.

How is DD2 now? Is it worth it if I loved first one?

Haiii, I really liked darkest dungeon, but DD2 didn't really click with me on release, despite me actually enjoying roguelikes quite a lot. Now that's it been a while, how do y'all feel about it? Would you recommend giving it another shot or nah?
