Samurai frog portrait — white vs yellow eyes (WIP study)

Hey! Just doing a quick portrait sprite study for my samurai frog character in Frog of Fury (working title for my upcoming mobile endless runner). I'm testing out two different eye colors for the same design here.

Do you think white or yellow eyes work better? Also, let me know if the face feels clear enough, or if there's anything else I can tweak to make the design pop and read better.

Showcasing the pixel art and gameplay loop of my current project, a mobile endless runner called Frog of Fury (working title, lol).

The Concept: A pixel-art mobile endless runner with a combat twist, think Subway Surfers meets hack-and-slash.

The Art & Gameplay: The frog runs and attacks automatically. You swipe left/right to switch lanes and swipe up to launch the tongue, either pulling enemies into your blade or catapulting the frog forward.

The Question: Does the pixel art style work for you? What would you improve visually?

I've been documenting the process over on my devlog (@mikebuildsgames) if you're curious about the journey.
