I love that Sierra's Trailer continues the current story, it makes Overwatch FEEL alive

As far as I can recall, hers is the first hero trailer that takes place in the current and active Overwatch story. The closet might be Freja's, with her meeting with Max, but that occurred at more-or-less current day, but not within current and familiar events.

Sierra's trailer, being both current and based on recently familiar events, makes it feel like a living continuation of the world.

WHICH IS AWESOME

Narrative team did an amazing job making her feel like a natural extension of the existing story, and not something tacked on. Watching this trailer makes me feel like I'm reading the next chapter in a manga series, and MAN is it making me happy!

By the way, Blizz, these icons are still awful

This conversation has died down, but lets go thinking it's because people warmed up to them. I honestly think we just fatigued out on it + got side-tracked by the massive updates in the base game.

These icons are bad and they won't suddenly become good. It's not even a matter of taste; they simply fail at basic iconography principles. There's no language to them, and they continue to be confusing even to frequent stadium players.

I hate how I've become reliant on the filter because these icons are just so incredibly useless.

April Fools changes I unironically like

Should be base kit or perks

Reaper tele cancel - Kinda of interesting actually, good for scouting and big-brain plays
Sojourn - this is just so clever, love the gameplay loop here. Even if it's not in this exact form, this has a lot more variety than just "build rail, shoot, repeat"
Soldier - Not the speed, or even this specific biotic field change by my god, he needs SOMETHING, his kit is super outdated and biotic field especially needs some serious love
Hanzo - WAIT WAIT HEAR ME OUT not this specifically with the random selection, but I've always loved the idea of hanzo being a Green Arrow style utility archer, able to cycle through a roster of special arrows (think Vauban from Warframe)

Cool Idea for another hero

Bastion: The Last Airbender - pretty cool idea for a tank ability tbh
JQ knife gun - less because of the ability itself, and more because I've always been a sucker for shotguns that shoot arching projectiles. They're just SOOOO satifying. Add in the vicseral idea of those projectiles being sharp, like knives or sawblades? Incredible, give me 14 of 'em right now
