Our Breville Barista Express is approximately six years old and is used daily by two people. While cleaning it today, I noticed the plastic under the shower screen is now rather disfigured, almost as if it's melted and rehardened.

I do regular maintenance, we use soft/filtered water, and I remove the shower screen for regular cleaning but have never looked closely with a flashlight while doing so until today.

Is it worth complaining to Breville customer service? This looks disgusting, not excited to pull my next shot through this mess.
