Mod Idea: Super Mutant Bulwark

(None of the art is mine and is only being used for a rough frame of reference)

Originally I saw this type of super mutant as only working for the Gunners, but I can see an argument made for the NCR as well. The idea is that these particular mutants work for a faction that outfits them with some tough, heavy armor (possibly retrofitted from old power armor pieces), and are armed with 2 shortened miniguns (making them more like microguns) with each strapped under both arms. Feeding from a backpack of ammo, the Bulwarks act not only as a shield ofr more lightly armored troops, but are great for crowd control inside of buildings, thanks to their dual microguns.

Power armor was considered for the position, but was ultimately replaced with super mutants, due to the configuration of the ammo pack and guns, as well as the importance of power armor to these factions.

I don't have a PC or Xbox to even learn how to create mods, so I may as well just share my ideas for people to freely do what they want with them. Better than just letting them collect dust in my head, doomed to eventually be forgotten. Feedback on this concept would be greatly appreciated

Mod Idea: Girandoni Rifle

(None of the art is mine and is only being used for a rough frame of reference)

This was an air rifle that was created around 1779 or 1780, and was a multi shot rifle capable of lethal velocity and great accuracy. Figured it would be an interesting Minutemen weapon for stealthy snipers, and might even be made deadlier by adding coils to the barrel in order to increase the velocity of the ball bearings it fires. Not much else to say besides that it could've been a more interesting standard weapon for the Minutemen than the laser musket, but that's just my personal opinion.

I don't have a PC or Xbox to even learn how to create mods, so might as well just get the idea out there instead of just letting it sit in my head to eventually be forgotten about. Feedback on the concept itself is very much appreciated

Mod Concept: Gatling Gun Nest

(None of the art is mine and is only being used for a rough frame of reference)

The idea is mostly meant for the Minutemen, but could very well be used for other factions or settlements. That idea being the use gatling guns as manually operated turrets mounted at guard stations around bases/settlements. These gatling guns are easier to make than turrets, but requires players or NPCs to operate them, and are typically made from pieces of broken rifles, or miniguns with a broken motor. These gatling guns could possibly be modified to fire stronger rounds, but it would take more resources to do so.

I don't have a PC or Xbox to even learn how to create mods on, so this concept is completely free for anyone to use. I just wanted to get the idea out there instead of letting it collect dust in my head and probably be forgotten about. Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Mod Concept: Heritage of Harold

(None of the art is mine and is only being used for a rough frame of reference)

I always found Harold to be really cool, with the only things coming close to being similar are the plants from Vault 21. Was thinking about how he eventually became more tree than man, begging the Wanderer to kill him in what I believe is a Fallout 3 DLC (I may be wrong due to not finishing the game). It got me thinking, what if his mutation did more than just make him a tree, or what if people did rituals with his ashes since he was worshipped as a god?

If we're going the route of his mutation causing previously unknown properties even Harold himself wasn't aware of, what if he unknowingly planted seeds/spores of his own that grew into a more natural hybrid of plants and humans, not having his chronic pains whilst almost having a 6th sense when it comes to plants and the like? These would biologically be his children, but they may wildly differ from one another due to his kind still possibly mutating due to radiation in the wastelands, and some finding more FEV.

Alternatively, if we go the route of tribals and worshipers of his taking his burned corpse and mixing it into concoctions and face paints for their own rituals, it could possibly mutate these individuals in various ways, depending on if they ingested "potions" made with his remains, burned incense with his remains and hotboxed themselves in it, or just made paint from his ashes to paint their bodies with. This could even spark a new religion around plants, with those apart of it slowly working on mutating more plants and somehow integrating them into the human body as a new race of people.

I have no PC or Xbox to make any mods, but still wanted to share this idea for my own fun and to at least get it out there and out of my head. If anyone wants to do something with rhis idea, be my guest and have at it. Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Would this be a good new Big Frigger?

This art isn't mine, but I immediately thought she was using the Big Frigger from Fallout 1 and 2 when I first saw it. If the Big Frigger was reintroduced to the setting, does this seem like a good way to redesign it? Wanted to spread the art in case someone was thinking about this old weapon. I don't know if the weapon is supposed to be a Big Frigger, but it certainly looks like one to me.

Mod Concept: Makeshift Tactical Armor

(None of the art is mine, and is only being used for a rough frame of reference)

I've seen tons of mods that put more modern tactical gear into the Fallout games, but always thought it was a shame that they never fit the setting. When browsing through some random art of scrap metal armor and wasteland designs, eventually coming up with an idea to have these tactical armors and gear to be made from salvaged metals in the wastelands.

The general idea is wastelanders trying to emulate the designs of combat armor and other military gear, coming up with makeshift tactical gear for them to use in the wastelands. For example, a modern day ballistic mask made from welded/forged metal with the headgear of old welding masks to keep them in place. Or forging armor from salvaged metals, but modeling them after combat armor and marine armor, with unique modifications to compensate for lackluster materials used in creating this armor. These designs could honestly make these more modern armors feel like it fits, since it's people trying to push past and out of the post-apocalyptic settings with the materials they have on hand.

This is just an idea I wanted to share, since I have no PC or Xbox to even learn how to create mods. Figured it'd be better to share the idea rather than letting it just sit in my head to collect dust and eventually be forgotten. Feedback would be greatly appreciated, and could help flesh this concept out more.

Mod Idea: Wrist Mounted Laser/Flamer

(Art isn't mine but is what inspired this idea)

Perhaps as a type of hold out weapon, or as something to be used by security details in settlements as a backup weapon that you can't wrestle out of their hands or something. Either way, I think using the flamethrower and lasers found attached to Mr Hand and Mr Gutsy units as a type of makeshift wrist mounted weapon would be interesting and something some people might try to do.

Thoughts on this concept and how well it may fit in the setting?

Mod Idea: John Brown

Any mod that has a John Brown inspired NPC and/or quest line would be insanely awesome if you know who he is from history and seen clips of him on YouTube shorts. He was essentially God's most violent abolitionist decades before the American Civil War ever began, and if credited in being one of the reasons it may have started. Dude is honestly one of the closest things I've seen in being a real life Punisher, but possibly more unhinged. Thoughts on this idea?

Would Makeshift Jetpacks Make Sense?

(Art isn't mine and is just being used as a rough frame of reference, plus it's cool)

I saw this artwork, and thought that it would be an interesting concept for certain factions of the wastelands to try and create jetpacks from old aircraft engines and robot parts (not just Mister Handys, but eyebots as well) that have been modified to be powered by fusion cores. Given how wild and innovative many wasteland mechanics and scientists are, how plausible would this concept be for the various factions (not including any BoS chapter or the Enclave, as they probably have Pre-War jetpacks for power armor and the like)?

If you really want to be fickle and actually require a reason as to why any faction might want to do this instead of making/using a vehicle, keep in mind that these might have been developed by crashed/destroyed vehicles that had only enough salvage to create something like a jetpack during a desperate time of need.

Mod Idea: FEV Fomorian

(None of the art is mine and is only being used for a rough frame of reference)

Saw this art and thought it would fit Fallout beautifully as a type of mutation that happens whenever a human centaur is exposed to Far Harbor's fog. At first, the centaur is only made to be far more aggressive than normal, even lashing out at any super mutant masters they may have. However, prolonged/continous exposure to the fog will lead to further mutations that end with them looking and acting drastically different than before.

Their size and muscle mass with increase to the point where they are roughly 15ft in height and packing enough strength to go toe-to-toe with a behemoth and have a chance at winning. Their intelligence will also increase, but only to a level that would be synonymous with an ape. The fog and environment of Far Harbor would see them develop an amphibious nature, leading to them taking some amphibious animals of the wastelands as pets for themselves in a sort of symbiotic relationship. Any "weapons" used by a fomorian is at best on the same level as those used by neanderthals in the early days of men. Otherwise, they are highly territorial, feasting on all that they kill, including other fomorians and super mutants.

I have no idea how to make mods, and just hope to inspire someone with actual talent. Feedback on the idea would be much appreciated.

P.S. I toyed with the idea that these could be a type of amphibious mutant found in the waters surrounding the island of Manhattan, as well as within their sewers and subways, if there was ever a mod or game set in New York. You could then tie them to a part of the city that clung to their Irish heritage when the bombs went off.

Mod Idea: Crippled FEV Vault

(None of this art is mine and is only being used for a rough frame of reference)

A vault filled with renown Pre-War geniuses and prodigies with severe physical deformities/disabilities, kinda like Steven Hawking. These individuals would be forcefully exposed to a strain of FEV that would work differently on their physiology due to their uniquely damaged DNA. All would mutate into a form of deformed super mutants that would require heavy cybernetics in order to properly function, if not needing a full robotic body to pilot like some sort of mech due to their bodies shrinking to the size of an infant, but now having a more blob-like form to it.

While most still lost their minds like that of average super mutants due to the pain of of their bodies reforming, all would surprisingly keep their intelligence, with the few that retain their human memories/personalities actually having their intelligence increase to further heights. The smartest and strongest would have the most complete body, mainly requiring a power armor frame to be converted into a sort of mechanical brace for their limbs to form properly, as well as a re-breather device that acts as a sort of mechanical set of lungs (think of the device used to force Darth Vader to breath). This particular super mutant would lead his brothers into rebelling against the Vault-tec employees that betrayed their trust, forcing them all to undergo both lobotomies and FEV exposure as a form of punishment. These effectively brain dead super mutants would be implanted with cranial cybernetics so that they can be programmed like flesh robots, now slaves to those they once experimented on.

After a few decades, the residents would open up the vault and establish trade with nearby settlements, bringing Pre-War tech back to life for some and developing new tech for others in return for resources the intelligent mutants can use to fund further projects in order to try and keep themselves as sane as possible. Others have used their intellect and cybernetics to act as mercenaries for so.e of these settlements, either acting as guards or actively hunting down potential threats to the people.

I have no idea how to make mods, but hope this inspires someone with actual talent. Feedback would be greatly appreciated.
