We rescued our dog 9 years ago after she spent a year on the Chicago streets. She was pregnant and a month after she got to our home she had a litter of nine. We kept one. Anyway, she now whines a lot, will follow one of us through out the house and follow us back into house although she loves being outside. A lot! She has a wonderful relationship with the one dog we kept. They curl up next to each other at night and when we tell her things like "Go get your baby!" She'll immediately initiate play.
My question is: Any ideas on the source of her whining and following the humans whenever we leave the room. It's definitely a new trend.
She's 11 and otherwise active and in perfect health.
