What would you pay for a 2018 Hyundai Tucson, 181 plate, 148k miles – great condition?

Thinking of selling my 2018 Hyundai Tucson (181 plate) and trying to get a realistic sense of what the market looks like before I price it.
The details:
• 2018 / 181 plate
• 148,000 miles on the clock
• Mechanically sound – no issues
• Bodywork and interior in great condition
I’ve had a look at Done Deal but prices vary wildly depending on spec and mileage, so I’d love to hear from people who’ve bought or sold something similar recently.
What would you realistically pay for this, and would the mileage put you off?
Any honest opinions welcome – even if the number is lower than I’m hoping for!

Hey folks, looking for some honest advice here because I’m genuinely worried.

Picked up a 181 Hyundai Tucson 1.6 GDi petrol from a dealer a few months back for €12,500. It had 135k miles on it at the time — I’m now sitting at 147k. Already in hindsight I’m not sure the seller was a proper dealer because he’s basically gone dark on me since the purchase. Lesson learned there.

Anyway, here’s my actual concern:

I’ve noticed my engine oil is dropping noticeably between top-ups — faster than I’d expect for a “normal” car. No massive puddles under the car, no clouds of blue smoke out the exhaust (that I can clearly see), but the level is definitely going down.

The thing that’s really got me on edge — when I sniff the dipstick, I can smell petrol. Not oil. Petrol.

A bit of research tells me this could be fuel dilution — essentially raw fuel getting past the piston rings and mixing into the oil. From what I understand, the 1.6 GDi engine can be prone to this, especially if the car has done a lot of short journeys where the engine never fully warms up. But I’m no mechanic, so I’d love to hear from people who actually know.

My questions:

1.	Is oil consumption a known issue on the 1.6 GDi Tucson at higher mileage? Anyone else experiencing this?

2.	Is the petrol smell on the dipstick as bad a sign as I think it is, or is some of it normal?

3.	Am I sitting on a ticking time bomb here, or is this manageable with the right maintenance?

4.	Would you sell/trade it in now before things potentially get worse, or is it worth spending money to investigate/fix?

I’m not trying to be dramatic but at 147k miles with these symptoms I’m genuinely unsure whether to invest more into it or cut my losses. Any experience with this engine or similar situations would be massively appreciated.

Thanks in advance 🙏
