Following Bruiser's vanishing, the kingdom's countless member species were in an uproar, at risk of falling apart. Junior was rushed onto the throne to get the situation under control, though Karam was the one who handled most of the logistics- while also desperately trying to keep the depressed young princes spirits up.

Ultimately they both wanted to go find Bruiser, but couldn't risk leaving the kingdom leaderless. The Spiteful Seven saw this clearly, and after they reached their own decision regarding how to precede, they sent Lucan to speak with Karam.

(This is the final part of the Prologue before the comic properly begins! Hope you guys enjoy! The transcript is below as usual!)

-TRANSCRIPT-

Panel 1- In wake of the King's vanishing, many search parties braved the storm...

Panel 2- But whether they went on foot...

Panel 3- Or by air.

Panel 4- They didn't come back all the same.

Panel 5- while he wished dearly to search for his father himself, Jr. Was thrust onto the empty throne, expected to hold a panicking kingdom together.

Panel 6- But he wasn't alone. The Royal advisor, and Junior's tutor, Karam, stepped up to assist the young prince with the most pressing matters.

Panel 7- He too wished to search for Bruiser- the King he had raised from infancy. But he knew that for now, he could not take the risk.

Panel 8- The grieving prince needed his support. Were one of them to disappear, the kingdom would crumble.

Panel 9- I'm just... Getting really scared Karam. He's never been gone like this before... What if we never see Dad again?

Panel 10- We must have faith. He will return to us. For now, we can only be patient and care for the kingdom. He-

Panel 11- Karam.

Panel 12- On behalf of the Seven, may I have a word with you?

Panel 13- That night, the Spiteful Seven proposed what they saw as their final chance to rescue Bruiser. Desperate, Karam agreed with their plan. A decision he would soon regret...

Heya! I'm a newer Ultraman fan, and I'm currently working through all of the Showa era shows! I'm on Ace right now, and for some reason I really like the goofy cactus kaiju the show introduced called Sabotendar! I guess I just like how despite being a plant based Kaiju, his appearance immediately makes it clear he isn't a natural creature- he was born purely for destruction!

While I'm a novice artist as well, I decided to sketch a simple redesign for him! I tried to keep the basic features on a slightly lankier, more animalistic frame- with more spikes! You can never have too many spikes! Any thoughts are appreciated!

STORY: Shortly after Bruiser became king and began militarizing his freshly United Kingdom, he tasked Karam with bolstering their air force using his magic. The sorcerer accepted the task, and was able to quickly create a simple but effective spell. Any who are struck by it will magically grow a pair of bat-like wings, enabling flight!

Bruiser Troopers affected by the spell find the wings growing out of their back through their shell, becoming Bruiser Paratroopers! Each individual is different however, as some simply gain the ability to temporarily glide or flutter jump, while others become capable of fully free flight! Many make use of spears when airborn as throwable weapons, as getting in close is dangerous. If struck with enough force, the spell will be broken and the wings will dissipate.

Plumebas are also positively affected by the spell, oddly causing the wings to grow out of their heads rather than their bodies. Most Plumebas can't flap effectively enough for sustained flight, but they can still get airborne long enough to shower those below them with plumes of poisonous gas!

Rude Dudes, however, refuse to show skin in front of others due to their culture. Because of this, they cannot be affected by the wing spell in the same way. However, due to their tendency to tinker, they have created surprisingly fast propeller packs by reverse engineering airship technology so that they can join their fellow mooks in the sky- usually raining bombs and other projectiles on any enemies below!

NOTES: Hope you enjoy these doodles I just decided to finish up and post. I figured since the paratroopers in the original series useally have white, dove like wings, it would be fitting if Bruiser's troopers had the opposite, with black, leathery ones! Like their counterparts, Rude Dudes don't do wings, and instead prefer to use technology to gain flight! I added aviator goggles to them to spice the design up a bit too, so I hope that turned out okay!

The disappearance of the kingdoms greatest heros (and greatest villain) was made even more tragic once the storm formed. A dark force, one completely unknown to the world's denizens placed it over the spot where the abductions took place, so that no further rescue attempts could be made without an almost guaranteed risk of a brutal demise...

( This exposition is mostly just my head cannon ideas for how the actual abductions took place and their fallout. If any of my thoughts are contradicted in future lore reveals, which they almost definently will, I will go back and modify my story accordingly! Also, I didn't forget about Warton and Walson- however, in the chaos most of the kingdom's residents didn't even notice they were gone as well...)

-TRANSCRIPT-

Panel 1- In the aftermath, it was found that there had been at least three sudden disappearances in total...

Panel 2- The first was just Mariano. The hero left for the kingdom's boarder... And then vanished without a trace...

Panel 3- Next, Mariano's brother, and the two princesses went in search of the missing hero.... Only to not come back themselves.

Panel 4- Shortly after, two more individuals left to seek answers. Shroomish, the bravest of the Shroomian people...

Panel 5- And king Bruiser himself. He insisted he go alone- and he did. Soon after, he would be lost as well.

Panel 6- All who disappeared found the same fear before they vanished. The fear that something dark was at play. And unfortunately...

Panel 7- THEY WERE RIGHT. (lightning strike)

Panel 8- MORE WILL COME, I'M SURE..... BUT I'M QUITE HAPPY WITH MY CURRANT PLAY-THINGS, AND THE SHOWS THEY PUT ON.

Panel 9- IF ANYONE ELSE THINKS THEY ARE WORTHY OF JOINING MY PERFORMANCE-

Panel 10- THEY WILL HAVE TO PROVE IT!.... (wind howls followed by a lightning strikes)

Panel 11- NOW THEN... BACK TO MY FUN!

Panel 12- Ever since King Bruiser's vanishing, a horrible, unending storm has covered the land where they all went missing.....

Panel 13- None who have dared to enter the storm have survived..... At least, not yet.....

I know some folks already made this meme with other characters, but I wanted to sketch it with just the Koopa Troop! All I had handy was some paper and a pen, but I think it worked out. If anyone wants to try making an improved version, feel free!

Seeing as the Salmonid hype train is back up and running with Raiders, I decided to touch up some old Boss Salmonid ideas I had, plus give them variants to match the new sub species!

The first is the Bubble Helm. It's inspired by those goofy diver tank decorations that release bubbles every once in a while. They tunnel beneath the ink, then pop up behind you to release a bubble blower style attack from their port hole. If you pop it before it finishes blowing up, the helmet will be destroyed, the Salmonid will be stunned, and finishing it off will be easy.

The second is the Ringer. They constantly twirl a mechanized ring around their waist like a hula hoop. This spinning rings out the ink tubes attached to it, quickly covering large areas of turf around And behind them. They can be splatted like a normal enemy with no armor, but using a ranged weapon is advised as direct contact is lethal. Once splatted, their ring will fly off in the opposite direction, taking down any lesser or small boss Salmonid it runs over!

When Mariano disappeared, Bruiser immediately knew something was up. Unwilling to risk his family or even his minions, he decided to investigate the Italians last known location personally. After announcing his decision, Bruiser was pursued by his young son. All the king could do was give him reassurance, and a promise he would not be able to keep.

(Hope this comic idea interests a few people! Hopefully the lousy lighting isn't too distracting. Also, since somehow my handwriting hasn't improved since grade school, here's a transcript!)

Panel 1- THE KINGDOM OF SHROOMS IS IN A PANIC. IT HAS BEEN ONE WEEK SINCE MARIANO WENT MISSING.

Panel 2- look, I'm sorry Dad, but your not making any sense! Why are you going to LOOK for that loser!?

Panel 3- Isn't this what we've always wanted? We can do whatever we want until he gets back!

Panel 4- Sigh...I've fought Mariano long enough to know he wouldn't just disappear this long with no good reason. Something's up, and I intend to find out what.

Panel 5- Well then take me with you! Maybe the Seven too! You know how much we-

Panel 6- No. If there is foul play involved, I won't risk you, the Seven, or the minions until I know what we're up against. Besides, someone has to watch over the kingdom when I'm gone. You can do that, right Junior?

Panel 7- Ha! Of course I can! Bossing folks around is what I do best! Yeah- I can do that....

Panel 8- As long as you promise...to not take too long. The uh....minions miss you when you're gone.

Panel 9- Ha! Don't worry son! I promise your Ol' man will be back before you know it!

Panel 10- THE KINGDOM OF BRUISER IS IN A PANIC. IT HAS BEEN ONE WEEK SINCE KING BRUISER WENT MISSING.

This is just a small completion of all the Koopa Troop members I have redesigned for the Catastrophes universe so far! Though now that I have completed all of the main antagonists/fleshed out their stories, I'm thinking about how to use them next.

Would anyone be interested in a short form comic showcasing how the Spiteful Seven ended up in the Toy Box? It would be a fun chance to explore their characters some more, and try some ideas I'm playing around with!

I don't think anyone else is really doing a Catastrophes comic yet, so I think it could be a fun experiment! Let me know your thoughts!
