This has been an unsolved mystery for 17 years and I’m hoping someone here can finally crack it.
The song appears in this YouTube video, uploaded May 29, 2007:
What we know about the song:
— Possible Opening lyrics
— Male vocalist
— Fast tempo, heavy electric guitar, rock genre
— The original video uploader got it from Limewire, where it was labeled "Queens of the Stone Age — Run Pig Run"
— Era Vulgaris (the QOTSA album containing Run Pig Run) leaked online around May 25, 2007 — just days before this video was uploaded — so the uploader likely genuinely believed that's what it was
— The actual QOTSA song "Run Pig Run" opens with "When I was young, we used to play the game of hide and seek" — so it's a completely different song that was mislabeled on Limewire, likely piggybacking on the hype around the leak
— It does NOT appear in any lyrics database, suggesting it may be an obscure indie/unsigned band, or possibly royalty-free library music from the era
Any help would be massively appreciated. This one has stumped everyone who's heard it.
