Round vs Oval diamonds what surprised me most while comparing both Body
I was comparing Round and Oval diamonds recently and realized most buyers focus only on carat size or trends… but the actual differences are more interesting than I expected.
A few things that stood out:
-Round diamonds usually sparkle more intensely
-Oval diamonds tend to look bigger for the same carat weight
-Ovals can make fingers look longer/slimmer
-Round cuts are usually more expensive
-Some oval diamonds show a noticeable “bow-tie” shadow in the center depending on the cut
Honestly, I used to think Oval was always the better value because it looks larger, but after seeing both side-by-side, Round definitely has a different kind of brilliance.
Now I understand why people are divided between the two.
