Like her family, Rhiannon learned to care for the enormous Adar Llwch Gwin eggs that she could barely lift. She witnessed the moment they hatched, brewed fairy berry wine for the birds, and combed their invisible feathers. Yet despite attempting with every bird in the estate, Rhiannon was unable to form a bond with an Adar Llwch Gwin, as her family tradition required. She felt curiosity and loss, but in a peaceful era, it did not trouble her for long—after all, whether a bond was formed or not, the birds had already become her family.

Ancient Creatures
More legendary than griffins of similar appearance, the Adar Llwch Gwin are covered in feathers with "light-refracting" properties. The light they bend shifts dynamically according to their surroundings, producing an almost "invisibility effect. In their juvenile stage, they fly no better than chickens, and their feathers are not yet fully developed. As adults, when still or moving slowly, they can "merge" into stone walls, forests, or the night sky like shadows. Even when flying at high speed, they only leave faint afterimages—truly… perfect tools of war.

Wings Fluttering Within the Heart
The shadow of war quietly enveloped the family estate, burning away her brief, carefree childhood. Like dandelion seeds scattered by the wind, the surviving family members took root in distant lands. Rhiannon chose a constrained freedom, living in seclusion with her mother while guarding the last remaining Adar Llwch Gwin flock. The birds laid new eggs, and they cultivated new orchards from seeds. Her mother hoped that time would ease Rhiannon’s pain, but she instead volunteered to take on the responsibility of caring for the birds, striving to become a proper "adult".
Only Rhiannon herself knew that the unresolved bond with the Adar Llwch Gwin had always remained within her heart, never truly gone.
