I have to say that I have buyers remorse for the tin can.

  1. The call quality is so bad that kids can't really have a conversation on it. I may have now fixed the problem after 4 months, but my son has already lost interest. The phone needs to work. 7 and 8yo boys often don't express themselves well enough to let you know there's a problem, let alone trouble shoot call issues.

  2. USB-C doesn't work as a phone jack. The handset was was firmly attached at first, but the connection has loosened and now it falls out or becomes partially unplugged all the time. The phone becomes unusable/hangs up if it becomes unplugged.

  3. All the weight of the phone is in the handset and the weirdly heavy twirly cord. And the base weighs almost nothing. So the if you move at all while talking, the weight of the cord will cause the base to fall off the table or the handset to become unplugged or both.

  4. No redial button. Kids are constantly losing connection for the above reasons, and then they have to redial the number every time.

  5. It's hard to dial with the squishy buttons.

  6. Both parents need to coordinate to approve eachother in the app, which is a drag. And sometimes the other parents aren't very responsive. And sometimes the app won't load when you are trying to do it in person.
