Chevy Colorado Towing Capacity
Can someone help me and explain this.
I have a 2.8L manual transmission,
Depending on axle ratio which I have to determine there are two max trailer weights.
GVWR 4850LB - 3.42 axle ratio - max trailer weight 1800 lbs - GCWR 5500 lbs
GVWR 4850LB - 3.73 axle ratio - max trailer weight 2300 lbs - GCWR 6000 lbs
This doesn't make sense to me, the vehicle weighs 4850 how can it haul a trailer like listed when you can't go over 5500-6000 lbs. Is this wrong? Any insight? TIA
