Can't do HRT but the desert is now a wetland - how I did it with your help & my Doctor's reaction.

Had a checkup with my GP (I don't see a GYN since my hysterectomy - no cervix) and told her that I finally found relief for the extreme dryness. Told her I came here and Marine Collagen was suggested to me. I found an affordable supplement with marine, bovine, and three other types of collagen. Take it daily, at noon, and if I skip more than two days, the dryness starts coming back. Four days and it's the Sahara again.

My doctor asked me for the brand, showed her what I was getting, and she was SO EXCITED. She was very animated when she said she was going to study more about this remedy.

I've been seeing this doc since she came out of Residency and started her practice in our little town (but our little town has now exploded and I can barely get appointments with her).

I know women's health research is FAR behind where it should be. It struck me odd that she didn't have a clue about this remedy. I'm glad I spoke up - she's at least 5 to 10 years younger than me, so perhaps she hasn't had to think about remedies for herself or where people can't take HRT.

Side note, HRT causes me to have the WORST migraines of my life. I only had migraines during pregnancy before - until my twin girls started their periods. First few years, I got a migraine each time one had their period. I was down at least once a month with a migraine. It stopped when they got on birth control. My hormones are crazy, my Thyroid is crazy (but I do take meds and have been on a steady dose for many years now). I might be an oddball as far as hormones go - but I do know this - COLLAGEN HAS CHANGED MY LIFE. And hubby is happier as well.

I wanted to share this because I've often revisited this forum to see others who can't do HRT and need a remedy for dryness. Well ladies, here's one that may work for you. Highly suggest trying!

Great drive yesterday!

I don't post often, but wanted to share...

We went on an adventure yesterday in my little pony. Drove places I've never explored nearby.

Found myself on a wonderful road, perfect rolling hills, green, stuck behind a tractor. It pulled off and I saw the new Vette behind me. Thought, I don't really feel like speeding but I know he does. Two lanes, double stripe - no passing. Switched to sport mode and hit just over 100 in time to slow down after about three miles due to traffic.

Came to a town where the road opened up. Vette driver passed and waved - I'd like to think it was a "thank you" for allowing him to have a bit of fun while being stuck behind me.

Made me smile 😊. Much better than most interactions I have where I'm taunted or being egged on to race.
