Long story short, I have a long notice period. Due to personal circumstances (not health related), I have asked my employer to shorten it and have offered overtime and other suggestions to mitigate any impact in good faith.

HR has not responded yet to me (I have followed up multiple times) so I assume it is a no. What would the repercussions be if I did not work my entire notice period? I am still giving over 4 weeks notice. I'm not in a very specialised role either.

I see a couple recent posts similar to my situation, but wanting more personal advice please.
